Gordon Hicks MBE
This all day workshop is dedicated to the memory of Gordon Hicks, who died in July 2012.
Gordon was a longstanding member of LHSG with a total of 44 years service, and held several positions on the Executive Committee over many years, including 23 years as Honorary Secretary.
He was a committed health and safety professional. Amongst his achievements he lead, and organised, campaigns to offer support and advice to SMEs.
He was awarded the MBE in 1999 for his contribution to the London Occupational Health, Safety and Hygiene Group. He also won the Maurice Adamson Award 2011 in recognition of his outstanding individual contribution to the Safety Groups Movement.
We organise this day to honour Gordon’s memory and give members and others who are interested in occupational health and safety to enhance their understanding and promote the importance of health and safety in the workplace
