On 18th April 2005, we held our Annual General Meeting, chaired by our President Lord Brougham and Vaux CBE. The programme for the meeting also included a presentation by Steve Peckitt of the HSE. His talk was entitled "The Big Picture" and detailed the HSC/HSE Strategy and Public Service Agreement, emphasising the importance of effort where greatest impact could be achieved.
4th April2005 Our meeting on 4th April was a great success. In association with our sponsors Ecovert FM and The Diskus, we celebrated our recent success in winning best overall programme in the RoSPA Alan Butler Memorial Awards for Excellence. The keynote address was given by Mike Toner, Associate Director, Head of Risk Management at West Middlesex Hospital NHS Trust, who examined the relationship between clinical governance, risk management and patient safety. The pictures below show some of the highlights of the meeting.
