About Us

Our members live and work, predominantly in and around London. They represent public and private organisations such as central and local government, commercial and manufacturing companies, in addition to specialist consultants.

Many members are full-time health and safety specialists but the Group also welcomes anyone who has a keen interest in health and safety matters, such as Facilities Managers, Personnel Managers, Quality Managers, etc.

To promote the very best occupational health and safety standards, the Group organises monthly meetings from September to May. At the meetings, a guest speaker will present their ideas and experiences on a topic of current interest. This is followed by an opportunity for the audience to reflect and explore the presented concepts.

During the year, one of the meetings will involve a visit to a local organisation. This is to gain a practical insight into how they assessed their risks and organised their safety management system.

In addition, there is ample opportunity for networking. Our members are usually open to sharing experiences and discussing challenging situations.

Membership of the Group can help you keep up to date. The presentations are aimed at introducing new concepts and reviewing pending government regulations. This can help make you aware of what is currently considered to be best practice.

We hold our Annual general meeting in April each year – AGM Minutes

Attendance at our meetings may also assist IOSH members in gaining IOSH CPD Credits. There is more information on the IOSH-CPD Page.
